I had a wonderful stay at Fano Kroogard. This is lovely waterside boutique hotel on the island of Fano. It is perfectly situated on the North side of the island. It is 5 minutes by walk from the ferry and 20 minutes by bike to the beach, with bikes available to rent on site. The whole property has a calm and cozy ambience. There is a reading nook on the main floor, and a terrace overlooking the waterfront. The decor is so well done with so much attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. If you manage to get a suite overlooking the water, you’ll be able to take in the wildlife of the Wadden sea, and see seals out your window. There is a restaurant on the main floor that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a hotel guest, the breakfast in the morning is a choice between several local inspired dishes. I had several different meals at the restaurant and every time the food was delicious. For lunch they offer traditional open sandwiches and for dinner several vergetable and seafood entrees. The restaurant is clearly a favourite spot on the island among locals, as it was always full. Above all, the staff is so lovely and they made my stay extra special. They upgraded me to a lovely room with a seaside view and provided excelled recommendations of things to do on the island. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

Because it’s a small space very well designed and constructed. We were sad that we only stay there one night. This is a place for people traveling with a car, because is in a place outside the city.

We are an international hotel of high standards. We are elegant and understated – just like Vejle. Like city, like hotel, you might say. We stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed it! It's right in the city center, but still located in a park, so it's quiet and peaceful. A great place if you want to be close to everything but also relax in nature. The interior is very cozy and makes you feel at home. The view from the window is beautiful it’s nice to sit and enjoy it, especially in the morning with a cup of coffee. Breakfast was really good, with lots of options for everyone. We definitely recommend this place!

The breakfast room is the jewel of the place: the furniture and tableware are beautiful, the cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, and jams are delicious, the warm bread releases a gentle steam when broken, and Gunnar is busy in the kitchen preparing pancakes. The hosts are charming—we hope to return someday, as they have created a haven of peace and good taste. The region also has some very interesting towns, such as Aabenraa with its fascinating harbor. A heartfelt thank you to Gunnar and Claudia for offering us this little cocoon.
