The food is not cheap, but that is the same everywhere on Ilha Grande (and this is what you can expect on an Island). Around praia vermelha plenty of options for trails, excursions and scuba diving.

Wonderful and lovely place to stay for people that want to have a more quiet and secluded place away from the main village, but still within walking distance (15min, or a 5min taxi boat ride). It sits directly above the Comprida beach. On arrival/departure day, somebody will pick you up/bring you to the main pier by boat. I felt very welcomed by the place and the hosts. I was lucky enough to meet the hosts and there was one other couple staying there. On the first night, we spontaneously had an informal dinner altogether. It's a great base to discover the island, situated along the hiking trail to several more distant beaches and viewpoints.

The pousada was very confortable and was well equiped. Breakfast had a big selection and we enjoyed the late afternoon coffee! Thank you for making our stay so pleasent.

Great value, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, we ended up staying twice as long as we had originally booked for!
