It was a great location to the athletic center/gym. My son plays on the Swarthmore basketball team. The basketball team had a game. The basketball team banquet was at the Swarthmore Inn, so that was great location for my family and me. We also ate all our meals at the Inn. It was a great experience.

Wonderful welcome from Z to this amazing house. We loved the Renaissance Revival room with its own balcony. The breakfasts were really special with a different cooked dish every morning. Monika and Z made us feel relaxed and at home. The Gifford-Risley is conveniently located within walking distance of the small town of Media which has many shops and restaurants. Trains from the station run into Philadelphia regularly and there are also trolley buses.

I stayed here for 3 nights, the place is spacious and clean, there’s plenty of parking options, the hosts were always ready to help and I a sense of privacy is guaranteed. Great value for money, I would definitely recommend staying here.

The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit yogurt and many different choices such as omelets, pancakes, waffles and plenty of delicious pastry. The location and the gardens are beautiful and we took long walks through the residential neighborhoods. We came in for a wedding and the highlight of our trip was Alpenhof! We hope to return very soon.

    Great location bordering the gorgeous campus. Comfortable, beautifully designed and quiet bedroom, with a heater that worked up to my standards (I like to be warm, summer or winter. I can't stand air conditioning, and this bedroom switched from refrigerated to warm in 20 minutes. Loved it!). Easy and free parking. The "upscale" restaurant at the Inn could be better but it is convenient. We had a respectable dinner there right upon our arrival.
