The Mitsui Garden is one of my favourite hotels in Taipei: rooms are spacious and comfortable, it has an onsen on the rooftop, staff is lovely, it's located literally on a good metro station and the breakfast is everything I hope from a great Japanese hotel. It was my second stay and I plan on returning there for my future trips to Taipei.

As soon as you enter, the staff on the first floor welcome you and guide you to reception, offering a very pleasant iced tea after your journey to arrive. A very warm welcome from reception, a spacious, clean and perfectly equipped room. A perfect relaxation area, with everything available on site. A pleasant pool with a lovely view. Everything has been thought of for visitors. Breakfast is a large and varied buffet, both sweet and savory. Perhaps the 10 a.m. opening time is a bit tight, but understandable since the place welcomes visitors for lunch. Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, if I get the chance, I'll be back.

This is an amazing hotel in many aspects, especially given value/price - the interior light-creator deserves a special price - all lights are in total harmony which immediately creates an air of luxury. Rooms are not huge but well planned and comfortable. In a perfect world, the lost space the balcony occupies (can’t even open) should have been used to amplify the room size. And last but not least, the staff… Always available, always friendly and always ready to help with everything. You very quickly get the big family feeling. When we returned to Taipei the second time it was obvious where we would stay. Well done!

We booked the premium room and it was very well-equipped. The bathroom is spacious and well designed, there was a small pantry with a minibar and coffee machine and kettle, lots of storage space for 2 travellers. We really liked the small sitting area which allowed us to enjoy the room without sitting on the bed. The bed is very comfortable. In the morning you can start your day in the lobby and outdoor sitting area for coffee and soy milk. In the evening, drinks and snacks. Bravo!

    The room was - WOW! Didn't expect such comfort from the pictures. Stayed in a family room - with 1 king size bed and 2 single beds. All the requests were addressed immediately. Staff speaks decent English, therefore no issues with communication. Location - very close to the center of the city: walked like 20 minutes to reach the 101. 5 min walk to the metro station. Shall you have a car - excellent parking lot at the hotel.

    Breakfast provided by the hotel had a good spread. The room was spacious well equipped. Parking was easy as there is a valet there in the day until about 1am. The carpark fits about 8-10 cars. Dongmen MRT station was <10min walk away with a 7-11 <5min walk from the hotel.
