Excellent desert camping, amazing experience to see the sunrise and sunset in the desert, The beds are comfortable, excellent breakfast and dinner. Super attentive staff, always available, making our stay very pleasant. At night, typical music played around the bonfire. We were welcomed with typical regional tea and snacks. Hot shower, good towels, There is a heater in the tents. Highly recommend!

during my search for the right place I became overwhelmed. I have impression that camps are covered with fake reviews, so this is true! We rented a car in Marrakech (large car for a comfortable trip). The drive there is long but good roads and interesting places along the way. suggestion is to spend the night in Ouarzazate, where you can visit a Berber village (20 km away) and the largest film studio in this part of the world. Both visits absolutely worth. The II part of the trip to the Sahara is 5.5 hours from there – total of 8.5h (can be done in 8h). There is police at almost every roundabout, but they follow protocol and the fines are not high €15–30. Communication with Mohamed was really easy. always available on WhatsApp (longest delay was a couple of hours). He wanted to give explanations and help in every way. I can tell if someone is pretending – these people are wonderful, gentle, humble, and don’t have any of the traits that tourists often fear in such places. Not a single extra euro did they want to take from us; they didn’t charge me even for water & Coce, even though I insisted. They are deeply connected to their land and genuinely want everyone to enjoy it. Merzouga, if you look at GEarth, is basically remote desert station. It is not connected to the rest of the Sahara; it’s a 10 × 30 km loop with dunes. Once you enter, it looks incredible, just like in pictures and movies, but there’s nothing to fear – even if you walked for a long time, you would always come out safely. Camps are all around, and it’s just a question of which one to choose. Everything is so vast that you won’t feel overly touristy. I was there in August, which is low season. We rode camels and it was amazing, although we also walked when our backs started to hurt. I realized: two days there is too much. Nobody stays in the desert during the day – all camps transfer people back to town because it’s unbearable. So spending the daytime there is pointless.

Hotel Suerte Loca is fabulous. The facilities are lovely, and the staff, especially Yusuf and Said, are incredibly helpful and gracious. On our trip, we had a flat tire. Yusuf took my husband into town to get the tire repaired so we would have a spare for the remainder of our trip. Yusuf also arranged an overnight trip for us into the Sahara on camels where we stayed at the hotel’s luxury camp. We had a magical evening with music, dancing, and star gazing.

A place that blends luxury with the desert atmosphere in a magical way. Hassan was wonderful with us and helped organize all the activities. The view of the stars at night is indescribable. We only noticed a bit of sand inside the tent after a brief storm, but the team cleaned it up quickly.

We were picked up from Merzouga and taken on a short, quiet camel ride through the dunes. The tent had everything we needed: warm water, private toilet, even towels and soap. Dinner was generous and full of flavor. Staff were respectful and knew when to check in without disturbing us.
