Word cannot express how grateful we are to Nalin and Isharni for welcoming us into their home during Sinhalese New Year. Staying at Black Panther Yala was the absolute highlight of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. It was such a special weekend where we learnt/ate traditional food (e.g. oil cake), participated in the rituals and traditions and met the neighbours and relatives. The room was comfortable and the food delicious. Dinner included is such a rare treat. The location is lovely, set next to the wetlands. You can borrow bike and ride around the area. We did a safari through a driver that our host recommended and it was amazing. I would highly recommend Black Panther to anyone!

Sooo much food!! Great mini-safari (raining so we did nearly 3 hours and saw loads of deer, boars, monkeys, crocodiles, birds etc). Woken up to monkeys on our tent room which was amazing!

The owner Randy is amazingly friendly and willing to do his very best to serve his guests. The room is great - spacious, clean and comfortable. The food is fabulous - the best Sri Lankan breakfast we got during our entire journey in Sri Lanka! If you have time Randy will show you around - something you should consider doing. You will enjoy the nice surroundings and learn about Randy's village. This is absolutely great value for money.

    Firstly I'd like to say that the room, hotel, grounds and surrounding area are lovely. The room is huge, nicely decorated and blooming lovely. The rest of the hotel has a very warm, welcoming and cosy feel to it. I wasn't able to try the hotels breakfast as I left early the next day for the safari that the hotel had organised for me. There's parking, aircon in the rooms. But it's safe to say that the pictures don't do the place justice.
