Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our stay at the Dormero Hotel in Sri Lanka was nothing short of amazing! This is my home in Sri Lanka. I love the people, I love the lake, I love the THE CATS and the dog. Came here to stay for a few days, thought I could stay maybe for 2 weeks if I like it, and ended up staying for 4 weeks in total :) The location is perfect for me. It is away from the crowded areas, very close to the lake so you are surrounded by nature in a quite place basically. It is also not very far away from the town. So you can take the bike, rent the scooter, get on the local bus or tuktuk and it only takes a few minutes to reach to the town. The rooms are comfortable and clean, you can have a boat ride, you can use the kitchen and cook for yourself too. You can also have a cooking class for a small price. I had my best rice and curry here in this hostel. Thank you Berto, Sri, and Manee for having me. I can’t wait to come back again.

So, we were 3 friends, and we spent an incredible 8 days in the Temptation. Great location for young people. Lots of tourists, clubs, restaurants and the beach with high waves, excellent for surfing. The staff was great, very kind, helpful, friendly, able, and ready to help with everything you need. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but I guess a little bit small. We took 3 rooms because the price was good and it was great. You can find ants and sometimes some small lizard on the wall, but that was ok for us :D they're not dangerous. I guess it's ok for Sri Lanka weather. Overall it's one of the best hotels nearby in Hikkaduwa. P.S. One of my friends decided to stay for another 7 days, he liked his stay so much

This is the hotel we liked the most during our stay in Sri Lanka. It’s situated next to the lagoon. The room is spacious, bed comfortable, delicious breakfast & very kind and friendly staff. The river safari is also agréable, we’ve seen different animals. If we come back to Sri Lanka, here is the place we want to stay again.

Accommodation was a really good value, as the room was bright, seemed new, had a beautiful private balcony and bathroom was really nice. Fan was working well and sockets were universal, good for travelers. Loation is like 10 minutes walk from the train station and the main road where all the caffees are, however, it is also very calm and peaceful location.
