Hemantha, the owner and manager of hotel and his son Dulana have built a truly beautiful pearl in the middle of the rainforest. With excellent English, they took care of us and fulfilled all our wishes. This is our fifth time in Sri Lanka, but we visited Kitulgala for the first time during our travels and I can recommend this area to everyone to visit. Waterfalls in the middle of the forest and rafting on the river are among the great experiences that this hotel offers you at a very fair price. And then you can let yourself be pampered in the comfort of the hotel with great food and enjoy a bath in the beautiful natural pool or right in the small clean river that flows around the hotel. The hotel is run by a kind and humble man named Dulip, who really made our stay memorable. He took the time to explain everything, especially how to navigate local transport, and even offered to drop us off at the bus station for free. The hotel itself was beautifully clean, with a peaceful, forest-like atmosphere that made it so relaxing. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and biscuits, which was a thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home.

Amazing hidden gem , located in a beautiful rai forest , spacious rooms with beautiful views , all staff were amazing Banda and his family, the gentlemen driving the jeeps and the ferry service across the river. Food is fresh, delicious and from the garden. We arrived at 5.30am (yes) and there was a canoe and jeep waiting for us to start our adventure! Wished we could have stayed longer, hope to one day return.

Unbelievable good, the place is amazing. Everything is new and good quality There is a small rooftop infinity pool with a view of the jungle. The room has full length picture windows. The staff; Lakshitha and Guyan did everything we wanted and much more. They can arrange for an evening meal because, once you arrive you will not want to leave

We had a great time at Liyara Villas. The area was quiet, peaceful, very close to a Buddhist temple. The apartment was confortable, very clean. The hosts were really kind and helpful - they prepared dinner for us, as all the restaurants were closed due to Public Holiday. Thank You so much for a fantastic time at Gampola!
