I had an amazing time staying here. The hotel in steeped in history, making you feel as if you've gone back to a simpler and more peaceful time. If you are looking for an authentic Kumamoto experience, look no further than Minshuku Hiroshimaya. The owner is a delight to talk to as well, and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.

As depicted by the photos, this is a great newly built property in a new residential project slightly out of town. It's a kids-friendly neighbourhood with a nearby small kids' park and playground. Home is clean and nicely done with all the needed appliances and equipment. The tatami room was great addition especially as we were travelling with a 7 month old baby. The host put in the extra effort to make sure we were comfortable and went out of her way to get us additional kids-safe mosquito repellent
