It was a wonderful experience from lovely and caring hosts, from the moment we arrived, the guided tour around the area, the wonderful dining and breakfast experiences.. everything! It is also really nice that there are a very low number of rooms, so the experience feels even more premium and intimate, while allowing you to enjoy a traditional ryokan.

Accomodation was nice and clean. Host was super nice. There was powerful hearing on the room so it was warm. Common space was very cozy. There was a possibility of buying some good and drinks for wery cheap if you had a tooth. Great value for price.

Loved this place. New build so everything very modern. Comfortable room. Great bathroom. Very helpful staff member who cleans the rooms and speaks good English. Self checkin clearly explained so not an issue. Wifi was good contrary to some reviews. About a 15 minute walk from the village. 10 minutes to convenience store. Excellent restaurant nearby open until 9pm with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Tenkara Shirakawa. Good parking. Book it!

We had a fantastic stay. The house was great and the family where such lovely host. If you don’t go there you really miss an opportunity. The whole family made our stay an event to remember. The venue is one of a kind and absolutely worth the 30m trip from Takayama. You really feel like traveling back in time. We experienced how little it takes to have a great childhood and astonishing beautiful environment. We can only recommend the place. Special thanks to Chie to explain us so much and to show us around not to speak of the wonderful food. Special thanks to Satoshi for the smoked fish, so tasty and tender. Very nice guest house in a slightly remote and calm area, which was just what we were looking for. We rented an ebike for a small fee to explore the surroundings. Dinner and breakfast were great and the hosts were very friendly. We would book it again. Arigato Gozaimasu!
