The hotel Latrabjarg was exceptional in every way. Karl is such a kind host. He greeted us when we arrived and offered a dinner of the evening (for an additional price). The menu looked great but we were excited to go to the bird cliffs so we declined. The hotel is about a 30 minute drive to the bird cliffs. We did see numerous birds including puffins!! The breakfast the next morning was a wonderful spread of cold foods (breads, cereals, cheese, fruit etc) , including homemade museli by Karl's wife and even a plant based milk (almond) for me. Everything was just wonderful and I highly recommend staying here.

The spotless apartment is at the end of a quiet residential street overlooking the town. It's on the lower level, with the owner and family living above. The place is very spacious, with a large foyer, bedroom, well-equipped kitchen and sitting area, and a laundry/bathroom area with washer, dryer, and an excellent shower. The bed was comfortable, the view of the fjord was beautiful, and the location is great. Excellent hiking up the hillside behind the apartment, as well as convenient driving access to Dynjandi waterfall and the red sand beach. An excellent restaurant in the town (Stúkuhúsið) serves delicious lamb, fish and desserts. There's a good grocery store and a tourist office in town as well.

Amazing location directly at the beach and extraordinary host! She made our stay so convenient and cared for every single guest! We loved our stay here. The receptionist was really helpful, informative and gave us a lot of tips :) The room was lovely decorated. The bathroom had a heated floor. There is a coffee/chocolate machine in the shared lounge which was really nice as we could enjoy a hot drink and play a few board games, the view to the fjord was breathing. Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of options, homemade bread and waffles :) We definitely recommend staying here.
