This was our favorite place on the whole trip. Room and restaurant were both amazing. Had dinner and breakfast and both were top notch. Room included all the amenities. Shower/bath was amazing. Hot tubs by a running stream were incredible.

Found along Route 1, this modern property is 30 minutes’ drive from Borgarnes. Facilities include the 9-hole Gianni Golf Course. All rooms have a satellite TV and free WiFi.

Lovely remote cabin on a horses breeding farm, great for the dark nights Aurora sighting. The cabin was warm and very comfortable and had everything we needed! Parking right outside your door. We gad a lovely chat with the farmer who showed us around the stables. All their horses were so beautiful and it was so lovely to meet them properly. Would certainly stay again if and when we are back in Iceland.

Such a wonderful place, and very friendly host. We didn’t know it was a horse breeding farm, but the kids were so happy when they found out. We loved the area. It’s remote, and our navigation system led us the wrong way first, but it was so worth it. 😀😀😀😀
