This hostel is a little paradise far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in India. I stayed there much longer than planned because it was so wonderful. It was a great place to unwind and meet interesting people. There was also great food, the opportunity to jump into the water and go for a walk.

Location is very calm and peaceful. I feel like my own home. They prepared the homemade food for us. It was very tasty and delicious. The warm hospitality of Deepa and care the family puts to making sure all guests treated for an exceptionally memorable trip. We also did a canoe tour, which was amazing.. We couldn't have asked for a better experience Highly recommend!

A gem of a homestay and a gem of a host. From the moment we came to the property, it felt like a little slice of paradise tucked away right next to the water, abs beautiful home away from home! Location is spot on and the owner Suresh was also nice enough to give us his two bicycles for us to explore the island freely. Plenty of space inside and out, all well maintained. Great, homely area outside on the veranda to chill and have food/tea/coffee, which the family is always more than happy to prepare. Suresh will work hard every day to ensure we had everything we needed, including canoe ride, booking transport and also a ride on his very own motorbike around the island's more tucked away corners. We def recommend this homestay to anyone coming to Munroe Island and we hope to return again.

Green Chromide is just amazing!! The location on the river side, the wooden chalet, the food are excellent. Sunaina and her family are so genuine, authentic and welcoming. They have made my stay very memorable. Munroe Island and Green Chromide have touched me deeply. Sunaina arranges everything you want to do in a blink and also understands visitors coming from a different culture. Everybody knows each other, so you will be taken care of with a big smile. Don’t hesitate, just go!

    Suresh was a great host. Called to check on us while we were on our way. The stay is a part of their village home. A one room standalone inside their property. Good car parking. Suresh and his wife warmly interacted and showed us inside their own home as well. Included us in the local temple festival rituals. Helped us book a boat for the backwater tour which literally started from the house itself! We could walk around the village from this location .

    I had a great time at Mundro Garden Homestay. The caretaker, Deepa Chechi, was extremely friendly. I stayed here with my family. We used two rooms, and both of them were clean and well-kept. The dinner and breakfast provided were homemade and tasty. Especially the karimeen fry was super tasty. Stay provides sufficient parking space for a car. Deepa Chechi also helped us arrange the canoeing ride. My family and I are very satisfied after staying here and recommend others to try staying here.
