The Avalon is my first choice of hotel when visiting my family in Kilkenny. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated, the inclusion of a coffee machine is very welcome. The hotel has a very homely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, so kind and friendly. I would really recommend breakfast, a good selection of local produce really well cooked and served. Lovely appointed room with extremely comfortable bed. Beautiful house in extremely quiet and peaceful location . Simon is a particularly attentive host and went way beyond the call of duty to sort out a problem with my booking. Breakfast was excellent , served to us in our room . Unfortunately we had to leave too early and couldn’t explore the beautiful wild garden and woodland . Next time hopefully. Thank you.
