Our stay with you was wonderful. The hotel is very comfortable with great beds that were so large. The view out over the rice fields with the mountains behind was magical. Staff were all really cheerful and friendly and helpful and we felt so lucky to stay here. Thanks to the wonderful staff.

Ibra and his guesthouse is really the best! He was so nice and helped us A LOT! 🙏 Next to that, the homestay is really clean and the food in the morning is perfect! I love this homestead and definitely plan to come back to see the ceremony in August! Together with Jansen, we attended four different funerals and visited all the days to get a complete picture of this process. We also traveled with him to different places (the work of a guide today is 600 000rph for a group of up to 3 people, and this is for the whole day, i.e. 8 hours minimum, i.e. the price is quite pleasant) and Jansen is the best guide you can only dream of. Jansen knows all about the traditions and history of this place, while he has good and understandable English. The homestay is wonderful. I spent almost a week here and felt at home. The rooms are very clean, smells good and beautiful. There is a good fan and it is quite comfortable to sleep with the window open. Also, the room has really good lighting and a sufficient number of outlets. The shared bathrooms are clean and, although I usually prefer a private bathroom, these were quite comfortable to use. Please note that there is a good hot shower on the ground floor, on the first floor there is a little old equipment that can work intermittently - hence in other reviews there are complaints about the lack of hot water. For me, this was not a problem, because it takes a couple of seconds to go down to the shower on the ground floor. A pleasant surprise was the breakfast, which included the price! I'm used to it being often just a cupcake or fried bananas in Indonesia. But here they serve toast or pancakes, fruit and avocado and eggs. You can also have lunch or dinner by ordering food from the menu at a good price - everything is very tasty. Hot coffee, tea and drinking water are always available for free. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the mountains and fields and it's just nice to relax here. The Internet was working smoothly and there was enough of it to work. Jansen and his family are wonderful people and thanks to them, I was very much imbued with the life and atmosphere in Toraja.

As other reviewers have said , a very comfortable home stay in a beautiful location . comfortable beds , hot showers and a lovely view from all of the rooms . The hosts Monike and Geri are very responsive on what’s app and helped us make a night bus reservation from Makassar and arranged for us to be collected from the bus stop at 5am. Monike really is a wonderful cook , extremely generous meal sizes too! they put us in touch with a local guide who provided an excellent overview of Toraja in 2 days including a funeral ceremony . highly recommend

Starting from the communication prior to arrival, all the way throughout the whole trip the hosts were amazing. The level of hospitality and care far exceeded my expectations. I was driven to the pharmacy to get medication when I was ill, I needed to rest in my room, so the hostess offered me lunch and checked in on me and when the car broke down on the way to a hike they were so apologetic and mortified about disappointing us, rather than thinking of their primary method of translation being broken that it completely melted our hearts. They of course immediately organised alternative transport. Genuine humanity and real Indonesian hospitality at its best. The facilities were lovely. The room was very spacious, ensuite bathroom, hot shower at a very reasonable price The internet even worked in my room, as I was downstairs next to the common area which it primarily covers. The food was also amazing quality, healthy and home cooked. The host, Peso, is a certified guide, clearly well known in the community, which made finding and attending funeral ceremonies comfortable without feeling like an intruder. The 3 day programme he offered covered all points of interest in the area, he also offered in depth and nuanced explanations on the local culture and took me to some places where tourists don't usually go. The scooter he used to take me around was large, new and comfortable, too. Highly recommended!

Very well clean, perfect location and very nice family. You can rent a motorbike from them for a good price. The owner Daud is a very good guide, we attended a tradicional ceremony and we did a 2 days trekking. 100% recommended.

We had a great time at Villa Bait Lino, Lukas and his family are very nice people and invested to make you spend a good time. The place is beautiful, you sleep just in front of the rices fields and the mountains. I absolutely recommend this place to discover the toraja culture. Also i would recommand Marco as a guide to help you discover Toraja, he is a very nice person, commited to his work and he'll tell you everything you need to know about the toraja culture.

The room and all facilities are really clean, we enjoyed the breakfast every morning, location is good only a short drive to the main road and quiet location. The bed was really comfy and good shower pressure. The best part was our hosts, Bella and her parents! Such lovely people it felt like we were a part of their family; they took care of us so well and were so welcoming. Felt right at home. Thank you!!
