Highly recommend stay at Villa Elenita!!, initially had booked for 1 night but extended our stay as the Villa was ideal, great value , exceptional for facilities and really caring hosts, Gilberto was very helpful and genuinely guest focused, communication was clear and always attentive, the Villa has been constructed in such a practical, comfortable way and attention to detail, everything works and makes for a great stay! It’s amazing property in secluded place surrounded by pure nature. It’s touching Carara National Park and it’s home of huge variety of birds. We made a great birdwatching tour there with local guide. Local organic food that goes from farm to plate was delicious (i.e crepes with home made chocolate really surprised us). If you love nature or you are just looking for total tranquility, Macaw lodge shall be part of your consideration. You need a vehicle with high ground clearance to get there (unpaved roads).

The hacienda beachfront feel to the property was really nice with great views of the sea. The food was tasty and plentiful and the chef was always happy to accommodate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the bed was amazing. The sound of the waves from the sea help for a great sleep. The gym was well equipped and a nice touch for us who like to workout early. The pool was refreshing and a great place to chill with a cocktail. I enjoyed my two nights at Sunset Del Mar and highly recommend it. I will be back.

one of the best and calmest places I’ve ever stayed. was perfect for the quiet few days I wanted by the beach. the beach access was a huge plus. the bar by the pool was perfect and I ate at the restaurant every day and was never disappointed. highly recommend
