Sergio was an amazing host, always helpful and caring! Prepared great homestyle breakfast for us both days and kept us refreshed with coffee / tea / hot chocolate throughout our stay! Twin Palms Hostel is the best option if you want to get a taste of real authentic Costa Rican hospitality and way of life. Lili and her granddaughter greeted us, waited for us when necessary, and made delicious fresh breakfast every morning. The hostel is just starting, so there is still some work to be done, and don't expect luxury this is not about that. But don't let this discourage you - Lili will make sure to offer the best rates in town and discounts that even the parks themselves don't offer. Although the location is a bit outside of the town - like 20 minutes walking - the shuttle for any tour booked through Lili is included and there are affordable taxi/uber options. I also strongly recommend walking if you feel like it because we saw many birds and even an armadillo crossing the road, on our way to the closest restaurant. The neighborhood is very local and safe and local people will salute you on the street, it really seems so welcoming and outside the tourist mess that can be found in the center. Highly recommended for the authentic and affordable stay in Monteverde!

Carlos carlos carlos...he is as amazing host as the place! We love them all the same.. and also his wife Elena. If you don't stay here you're missing out on life! We didn't want to leave this place. Oh by the way the food was also lovely. He knows what is spicy what you ask him what is spicy! Don't go without the argentina pizza and cas juice! One of our best accommodation out of 100s of countries! Pura Vida!

The views from the A frame house were great. We spotted monkeys and toucans from our deck. The property manager was very easily contactable. House was clean and well maintained.

The care and kindness of everyone, both owners and staff. Amazing breakfast, super cosy bed, big cabin with everything tou need. Outdoor patio is the perfect spot for breakfast next to the forest. Owner would come every afternoon with a wee tea. Just perfect. If you're hesitating, don't :)

The place is amazing! You have so much space and a well equipped kitchen. The views from the terrace are just beautiful and it is a quiet place in the middle of the nature. The beds were comfortable and we really could relax there. It is a little bit of a drive from town, but no problem if you have a car! The owner was caring and so friendly!

Great place located ~5 min from the national park. Marcella, the host was great and provided all the information we needed. Due to the proximity to the forest lots of animals can be seen by the house. We saw many birds, Aguti and a large group of white-face monkeys. The washing machine in the facility was of great use for us.

The villa was stayed at was the PERFECT place to stay in monte verde! Everything was nicely cleaned and the kitchen was well stocked with basic dishware we needed. Additionally, the service from GUILLERMO was exceptional! Very easy to communicate with and very friendly. 10/10 visit, would recommend to all of our closest loved ones.
