Casa dos Almas is simply a magical place, a peaceful accommodation located in front of the sea on Mendihuaca beach. We stayed in a double room with a sea view located on the second floor. If we could describe our room in one word, it would be cozy. Everything was very clean, tidy, and beautiful, with a spectacular view of the sea under the shade of an almond tree. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable, and the room had a fan (air conditioning is not needed with the sea breeze). The accommodation has very comfortable and pleasant common areas. We had the option of breakfast included, but we opted for the "Napolitan eggs," which were very delicious. Thanks to Maria and Ela for everything, very friendly staff. Joseph has been one of the best hosts we have met, making our experience much more enjoyable, always attentive and kind. He instructed us very well about the place, helped us with everything we needed, and guided us on some activities like the Cacao Tour; he knows a lot about the area and told us about the culture and biodiversity. Probably many have not heard about Mendihuaca beach; it is a recent destination for tourists but offers tranquility and spectacular landscapes, located a few kilometers from Tayrona National Park and with easy access to the city of Santa Marta and nearby places of interest like the Sierra Nevada, Palomino, and other beaches. There are various activities available such as kayaking, surfing lessons, massages, among others, and transportation to other areas of the region is easy through moto-taxis. The local cuisine is not very extensive but offers more than enough delicious options, with Humbe as a recommendation, though all the restaurants we tried were delicious. We highly recommend this place for those who want to spend some time disconnecting and relaxing.

very relaxing, nice common area with strong WiFi and enough hammocks. Little paradise within the jungle, but still in walking distance to nice activities (river, beach). Helpful staff, open air dorm with good mosquito nets. In-house restaurant with good food (even though everything is fried and starts to get hard on the stomach after a few days).

Our experience here was truly fantastic. The place is ideal for relaxation, with only a few rooms, making the atmosphere intimate and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, and the services, restaurant, provided by the hotel are excellent and reasonably priced. A special mention to the wonderful reception staff—they were all charming and extremely helpful. You’ll genuinely want to stay here forever. I sincerely hope to return soon. A perfect spot to relax and connect with nature. The surroundings are so beautiful and we loved our morning runs and river swims. The restaurant serves up amazing dishes - super tasty and fresh. Salvia Madre is also the perfect base to explore Tayrona and the extraordinarily beautiful Cabo San Juan hike. The massages were fantastic in the garden. Amazing staff (thank you Cindy!)

Amazing stay at Zakua! Juan, André and their family were great hosts. Collected us and dropped us off in Santa Marta and Tayrona park. Near to the enchanted lagoon, Juan took us on a tour to the lagoon which I would 100% recommend. Had so much fun and the tent was comfy and had a TV and air con. The pool is great to cool off in too! Thanks again for our lovely stay
