We were pleasantly surprised by Marxenhof. We only came for an overnight trip and Marxenhof offered everything we needed. the view from our room was magnificent and the staff members helpful and diligent. the breakfast was great which had a huge variety of food. Parking was very easy and they allowed us to leave the car at the hotel for the day also after check out. We would gladly return again!

This is an excellent hotel. I stayed for one week on a walk in the mountains holiday. The hotel offers an outstanding value half-board option (breakfast and evening meal), which I recommend. They have a lovely system of table allocation. You are shown your table in the restaurant on your first day and this becomes your table for the duration of your stay, breakfast and evening meal. The service staff in the restaurant go the extra mile to ensure everything is to your satisfaction and all speak English to make you feel comfortable. The room is stylish and comfortable with a very well-equipped bathroom. As a bonus, my room had a balcony with a table and chairs, that offered fantastic views of the mountains, with both impressive sunrises and sunsets. The owners are involved in the day-to-day management of the hotel, and it shows. If you like good food, comfortable accommodation, fresh air and marvellous mountain walking on your doorstep this is a great choice.

We had a great stay in Tristenau. Maria, the manager of the apartments, was very helpful at all times and even recommended us amazing hiking trips. The room was perfectly equipped and the beds very comfy. The kitchen was also very complete. On top of that, the sauna and the wellness area were very cozy too. However, our favorite thing has to be the breakfast, I woke up so excited every morning to have breakfast... amazing! We could also see sheeps through our window :) super cute. We would definitely repeat here. Thanks a lot for everything P&R

The two ladies at breakfast were so pleasant and made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed. Made waking up a pleasure. The breakfast buffet was the best we've ever had at any hotel. The lakeside lounge area was also special. The rooftop spa area was tastefully done with views over the lake and mountains, although a 2pm opening time for the sauna felt overly restrictive.

Location, view and surrounding, simply stunning. Excellent facility with almost all you need. At check in, they have great attention to details even for your parking card or reserving a dinner table for late arrivals. Staff and the majority of them are great, few needs to just smile, but I found everyone very respectful and work like they own the place. Staying for 4 nights, I could claim I saw many staff at different times.

Very nice location near the lake despite sadly no view from the lower floor unit that we were given. (looks out on parking lot). The staff were helpful. There was plenty of room for our small group but a larger group would feel uncomfortable, especially since the extra (3rd) bed is the pull out couch in the living room.

I stayed for 2 nights in August I love the place, Very clean & spacious room Clean bathroom I enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere The bed was comfy Lovely and friendly staff Free parking space with electric car charging stations Nice breakfast Amazing Spa area The garden and the view on the golf field are breathtaking Very good location, few minutes walk from the lake and from Karwendel Bergbahn cable cars I didn't try the restaurant for dinner as it was closed during my stay
