Not a cheap one, but it is definitelly worth the money. We definitelly recommend to take a room with a view, seeing mountains in the morning was wonderful. We didn't have a ryokan-type room but were still amazed by the quiality of everything - cleanliness, design, etc. Our room had a capsule coffee machine, a set for drinking tea, hair brushes, hair pins and other small things that added a pinch of comfort to our stay. The hotel also provides guests with Japanese-style clothing: a set of a "shirt" and pants, and a yukata. You can walk in it everywhere in the hotel which was very nice. The hotel has public onsens on two floors, both have open-air baths. The staff is very understanding and would help with the rules of visiting. You can also book private onsens that turned out to be not very expensive. Sometimes the hotel holds special events. We managed to visit stargazing and saw Jupiter through a telescope while eating sweet potatos! The hotel provides a bus that regularly travels through the Arima village. You can also call the hotel to pick you up. The village itself is very beautiful. There is a ropeway to the nearby mountain. I heard you can also hike to the summit.

We had the best time at Shinzan Kinosaki! The staff was friendly and helpful. They upgraded our room during our check-in and we were absolutely blown away by the place and treatment. Extremely clean, beautiful and luxurious feeling. Both the dinner and breakfast were amazing experiences, it was fun to walk around in the yukata provided by the hotel and the onsen experience itself was very nice. Absolutely nothing negative to highlight, We will definitely return during our next visit to Japan!

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. I loved everything! Check in was a breeze, they made sure to show us where everything is and also offered to make hot tea during checking. The facilities was perfect, it was very traditional and they did everything proper. The room was great, it was HUGE and had everything you could need. It was raining and they gave us umbrellas, they also gave us yukata's and slippers (you can choose what type) to walk around the town to go to the Onsens. The food for dinner and breakfast was chefs kiss!
