Nestled amongst peaceful native bushland, Kaka Retreat Motel, Stewart Island offers spacious modern suites with kitchenette, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The staff was so helpful before and during our stay, including a last minute request for a lift from the Ferry terminal to our hotel. The room was large and comfortable, perfect for our stay. TY

With panoramic views of the Tasman Sea, The Bay Motel overlooks Halfmoon Bay on Stewart Island. It features a nearby golf course, a free shuttle service and free private parking on site. Staff, Vicki, was wonderful - helpful, efficient, and friendly. The room was cozy, clean, and our room had a nice view.

Great place to base oneself before & after Rakiura Track tramp. Rooms are clean as are the bathrooms, lots of towels available at the showers. Food was delicious especially the local Blue Cod. Would stay there again.
