The rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. Took our breakfast with us. It has only been built for 4 years and is new. The location was excellent a short walk to the main street. The Com is attached to the Pub the Commercial Hotel so could pop in for a drink or a meal if you liked. The building design was quite different with separate motel rooms(almost a tiny home) separated by empty garages on two levels Our room had lovely afternoon sun. Plenty of parking and space. Built in front of the big rock cliffs of Whakatane and the Tuis were very busy in the bush in the morning - lovely.

The property is around 47 km from Palmerston North Convention Centre, 26 km from HortResearch and 45 km from Massey University. The motel has family rooms. Freshly upgraded and modern, very spacious and clean. Right on the main thoroughfare so easy to find. Nice beds, furniture and very nice walk-in shower. Even had a jacuzzi tub but never had a chance to use it.

The apartment layout was very nice, and had everything we needed to make us feel at home, including a washer/dryer in the bathroom. The neighborhood had a lot of shops and restaurants, and it was only 10-15 min drive from downtown Auckland. The large bay windows to the balcony were a nice addition, and let a lot of light into the apartment.

Acacia Lake View Motel is just 300-metres from Taupo Town Centre and a 5 minute Tauhara Golf Course. Taupo Airport is a 10-minute drive away. Everything, from start to finish. The staff were amazing, and very helpful and friendly. Our accomodation was spotlessly clean. We had cooking facilities, hairdryer, shampoo, body wash, and luxury white towels. It really was a home away from home. I would absolutely recommend Acacia Lake View Motel.

Lake Taupo and Tokaanu Thermal Pools are within 5 minutes’ drive from Creel Lodge. The Tongariro National Park’s ski fields and walking trails are 40 minutes’ drive away. Spent a further pleasant stay at the lodge. Went half day trout fishing with Jason Bethune of Creel and Tackle shop next door. From lodge Drove 3mins to Chinese take away food for dinner.

Each room has a kitchenette or full kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. The entire place was so clean and good value for the money, good location as well! The free parking is superb, considering in Newmarket area.
