The motel offers city views and a barbecue. The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location could not have been more convenient. Russell is a lovely, tranquil place to spend a few days. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Exceptionally clean and well maintained studio. The King size bed was very comfortable and we had everything needed for an enjoyable three night stay. Our host, Julie, was friendly and welcoming, without being intrusive. She gave us many good recommendations and provides a laundry service, which was much appreciated on our extended trip. Pahia is a beautiful spot to spend a few days. Highly recommended.

The property is around 800 metres from Paihia Harbour, 3.3 km from Waitangi Treaty Grounds and 7.3 km from Haruru Falls. An older property but looked after very well. Trevor welcomed us on arrival and told us everything we needed to know and answered any questions we had. We spent two nights and wished we had more time.Paihia is a quaint and beautiful little town in the Bay of Islands. The motel was within very easy walking distance of the town with several resort choose from. The included breakfast was phenomenal and served right to our door right at the chosen time. We highly recommend Paihia Star Motel for value and a wonderful stay. It was well appointed, clean and friendly and the beds most comfortable! Thank you Trevor!!!
