Angela and the staff were super friendly and helpful. As it happened to be a slower day, I got an upgrade on my room. Totally unexpected but much appreciated! The location of the Lodge was great and close to the ferries. Can highly recommend staying here!

The staff was great: the spanish guy at the reception helped me to solve a problem with a travel agency and thanks to him I was able to have a wonderful cruise at a discounted price. But all the staff has been friendly and supportive.

Reception staff were nice and accommodating. I was glad to see Paul on checkout as he is retiring and has been a real asset to this motel, wish him well. The bed was huge, shared with a friend, so still room to move around and was so comfortable with nice linen

The cleansity, facilities and location of the motel were all fantastic! It's located right by the bay and in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the ferry wharf. Also, the Waitangi treaty grounds are right around the corner.

Ala Moana is a great motel, just a short stroll to the town centre. The room itself was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and the kitchenette had everything you needed if you were eating in. The bathroom was a good size. John was a lovely host and very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying at Ala Moana if visiting Paihia.
