Hotel staff was nice and friendly. I needed late check out and was accommodated for an extra Half-Day charge. Even though I am Marriott member and was told there would not be a charge for late check out - I was charged half a day.

Location was perfect. River walk is right outside your door! The complimentary items for Marriott members were amazing. We got 2 free drinks per day, $25 meal credit per day, and free tickets to local attractions like the Alamo and Tower of America.

I gave the property terrible ratings because the night before we were supposed to get there I received an email telling us that they could not accommodate us for at least the first night, and that they gave us a reservation at the hotel next-door, which is a Holiday Inn. At the same rate it was paying for at the Marriott. The Holiday Inn was much cheaper. They did not treat us correctly.

The San Antonio Marriott Northwest was a huge, very modern hotel. The room we stayed in was very large with a king bed and a sofa, and was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant, bar and a Starbucks just past the registry desk. It was right off the interstate so it was easy to navigate around the city, but there was no traffic noise in our room.
