The Stables stay is our budget-friendly option in our original historic Stables building. These rooms have shared bathroom facilities. If you can budget for the stay, it was well worth it! The staff were amazing, the grounds were beautiful, breakfast was delicious, rooms were comfortable with everything you need and more! It was a truly wonderful experience for my whole family, and we would recommend this to anyone traveling on holiday to Dunedin.

When we arrived at Milford Sound Lodge, we were informed that the road would be closed the following day. Unfortunately we could not stay but the staff member, Gillian, immediately confirmed we could cancel without any penalties. The money was refunded promptly. We were disappointed we couldn’t stay as the lodges looked fab but with the amazing customer service we received, I have no doubt it would have been a wonderful stay.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. This property is outstanding. Fabulous hosts and food. Awesome ocean view. Meticulously clean. Loved the outdoor space on semi-private deck. Quiet and simple elegance with wonderful amenities.

Set in Kaikoura in the Canterbury region, with Kaikoura Beach nearby, Lemon Tree Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The lodge offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. A fridge is also offered, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. The room was airy with two separate sliding doors giving access to the garden and decks with tables and chairs for dining outdoors. The room got the morning sun. The bathroom was spacious, and two glass walls of the shower opened right up. The breakfast was laid out for the guests from 8 to 9am, and included mostly breads and sugary things and dairy, which is typical for European breakfasts. I don't eat sugar or dairy, but managed to find enough: boiled eggs, fresh fruit and cold cuts.

Lake Tekapo is 55 km from the lodge, while Glentanner is 41 km away. Amazing property. I would 100% recommend this little lodge to stay while visiting Twizel. Spacious, clean and modern rooms. And Mary the host truly wonderful.
