The Lodge is absolutely lovely, incredibly comfortable beds, spacious rooms, wonderful ensuite wiht bath tub that has views, grounds are beautiful. the entire team is freindly, helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. It's an elegant and refined choice with a personal touch thats not found in large hotels. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, quality, beautifully cooked, stunningly presented and the coffee is also great. The location is lovely, quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.

Orakei Korako - The Hidden Valley is 38 km from Whakaipo Lodge, while Great Lake Convention Centre is 11 km away. Taupo Airport is 18 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. The location was 10 minute drive from the centre of Taupo, breakfast was excellent. Angie and Garth were incredibly friendly giving us help with places to eat and all around the local area. Despite the cold weather in New Zealand for summer we had a fire in the lodge to keep us warm.

Vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options can also be requested. The Chalet itself is beautiful, located in a quiet scenic area just outside of Taupo. Nina was a wonderful host, attended to our every need and had great recommendations. Breakfast was full, cook to order and everything fresh.

The lodge offers a children's playground. Awesome house, great kitchen. Covered car park. There's complimentary access to a spa and minigolf, but we didn't have time to test both.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River.

Tongariro Lodge Restaurant specializes in traditional New Zealand dishes, guests enjoy meals by an open fire. Great lodge with chalets in very nice surroundings. The restaurant at the lodge was very nice for breakfast and dinner. Staff was very helpful. They organized a day of fly fishing for us and helped us with transportation to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.
