The grounds are beautifully kept and a joy to explore. The location was amazing, walking distance to trails, downtown, and the hot springs. Some units are air conditioned and include a terrace and/or a balcony, as well as a seating area. Despite claiming only a shared bathroom, our suite had a private bathroom, including shower. I'm not sure if the others did. Lodge has a well equipped full kitchen and good wifi.

The lodge offers a children's playground. I was able to park my trike underneath the overhang to keep it out of the rain. Dinner was great.

The lodge offers a sun terrace. This property is exactly as described and shown in pictures only better. We loved every minute. The outdoor tub, the night sky with one night even having a slight aurora glow. The Highlander cows who posed for photos. The delicious breakfast that came with the room, the glass bedroom. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners’ mother who stopped to check to make sure we were not lost while out exploring. While the location is a bit remote, that was what we were looking for, and it is a short drive into the town of Twizel and the nearby lavender farm. The Peace Ring was temporarily closed but we could see it from the road. Highly recommend!
