There were a lots of things that we liked about our stay. To start with we were really happy with the tents, they were so comfortable and cozy. The hospitality was amazing. Everyone was always ready to help us out and we really connected well. The food was amazing, always had a nice and balanced diet, with so many different varieties. We were really made to feel special.
All in all a perfect holiday, in a beautiful country. Kenya definitely has our heart. We will definitely want to visit again, will also recommend Olkinyei Mara Tented Camp to anyone who wants an amazing Mara experience.
Talek
Facing the Talek River, Mara offers elegantly furnished tents on raised platforms, and a terrace with a bar for spotting animals. All rates include 3 game drives a day, and return airstrip transfers.
Mara’s tents include a wooden, 4-poster bed surrounded by a mosquito net. All have a modern, private bathroom with a double vanity, shower, and flush toilets. Tea and coffee making facilities are in each.
Finding the right accommodation in Masai Mara was a challenge, but after a thorough comparison of game drives, amenities, and services, Max Mara emerged as the best choice in terms of quality and price. I have never regretted opting for this hotel. Every member of the team, like Duncan, provided exceptional service, although I regret not remembering all their names. Situated just three minutes from Ol Kiombo airstrip, the hotel ensured seamless transportation, with our driver Samson attending to us from arrival to departure—an invaluable consistency throughout our stay.
The culinary experience was outstanding, offering a diverse array of delicious meals. The tents were immaculate, complete with amenities and a constant water supply. Additionally, the morning gesture of serving tea, coffee, and biscuits on the terrace before breakfast was a delightful touch. The expansive resort boasts well-maintained gardens, often visited by friendly monkeys.
However, what truly stood out were the exhilarating game drives. With Samson, an experienced driver of 18 years, at the helm, the journey was not only safe but also educational and enjoyable. His extensive knowledge of wildlife surpassed that of any textbook, and his ability to spot animals was uncanny. Despite my initial apprehension, Samson made me feel secure in his jeep, imparting valuable lessons about nature along the way. I am immensely grateful for this incredible adventure and for Samson's guidance throughout. Thank you for an unforgettable experience and to feel safe in your resort.

Peal mara was excellent! super friendly staff, responsive, polite, helpful. The tent was luxurious, clean, comfortable, safe! There were people walking us back and forth in case wildlife appears in the way. Sunset and sunset views were also top. The people working there are always available to accommodate your every need. The whole place is built in respect to the surrounding nature. The safari driver, Sietoti, and Rachel, a trainee, were experienced and educated, and was able to identify every corner of Maasai Mara and provide rich information about nature and wildlife during our daily safari game drives. A truly amazing duo who made our trip unforgettable. They really took care of us. Also, the food was delicious, chef was excellent! I would definitely go back again!

From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed by Valery and her amazing team. We stayed in a beautifully designed, cozy room (everything inside was chosen with care and filled with comfort)
The atmosphere at Emboo is magical: peaceful nature, evenings around the fire on soft poufs under the stars, delicious meals, and a deep connection to the nature.
We would especially like to thank:
Felix, our safari guide — calm, deeply experienced, and one of the best in his field. He made every game drive feel personal and insightful.
Tobin, the photographer, full of passion and soul. Every photo he took captured something deeper than just an image.
Rhoda, who looked after us during every breakfast, lunch, and dinner with incredible kindness and attention.
And Pedro, who always brought a smile, kindness, and genuine care. he made us feel truly welcomed.
The little things made, like hot water bottles waiting in our room at night and even placed in the safari jeep for those chilly early drives. These thoughtful touches left a lasting impression.

We’re already home, but our hearts are still with you at Emboo.

Really nice and helpful staff. John and Jacob made our safari unforgettable. They were very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. In addition Isaac cooked us wonderful meals. Per our request vegan and it was very tasteful and healthy! kanunka told us everything we liked to know about the Maasai people. Finally John arranged a pass through the park to bring us to our next destination with his landcruiser.
I had a great stay at the camp. At the time, I was the only tourist staying there and the staff were very solicitous, friendly and helpful. Food was really good and, of course, the safari - organised at the spot by the camp, was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend.
I liked that the lodge was inside the park. The staff was very personable and helpful. Special shout out to the manager Mike, our game drive guide Vivianne, our houseman Isaiah and the head chef.
Staff were incredibly friendly, especially the girls in the restaurant. And the two cooks too. Great food and plenty of it as well. Easy to take a breakfast or a lunch with you if wanna leave for an early or a whole day safari. We made reservations for a room, but got offered a tent, which we gladly took as the room looked not as comfy as the tent (warm, small windows without insectscreens). Hippos, crocs and kingfishers in river next to lodge. Even an elephant dropped by. Definetely worth a stay.
The camp is really exceptional, we have exprrience from Namibia, Uganda, Botswana and Serengety as well, the quality of all sevices are as in 5 stars lodges in Botswana but for 2,5 times less expences. Especially chefs and guides do the job with love.
We stayed at Mara Intrepids for a couple of nights before heading on to another lodge. Samson, our safari guide was EXCEPTIONAL. He made the start of our trip wonderful! Also, the service provided by Kenneth and team at meal times was exemplary.
Amazing safari camp on the Mara river. The lodge was perfect, our guides, waiter, butler and all of the team at neptune provided exceptional service.
