Stunning. Loved having a hammock on our porch. Staff are all the happiest and kindest people on earth. Food is amazing with delicious fresh fish multiple nights and many varieties. We brought cake ingredients to bake a bday cake for our daughter staying in Arborek and they baked a huge awesome cake for her, then they took us there to celebrate with her that evening. It was also my husbands bday and they helped make it such a fun one. The ladies sing a lot and you can see that everyone working there is appreciated, truly happy, and part of a big family with the owners. Our dive guide and boat drivers also went above and beyond and the owner is right there to help you plan dives too. We saw a manta ray on the boat ride back to the hotel and they stopped to let us chase the manta and swim with it until almost running out of gas!!! It was beyond thrilling. The restaurant is on the water and surrounded by a shark nursery. You can sit there and watch them below you.

There were so many reasons why: 1. Rashid and Eka, the owners, were amazing hosts. We quickly felt like we were part of the family. Rashid is passionate about Raja Ampat's underwater life and took us on amazing tours. We saw such incredible sights. 2. The bungalows are located on a spectacular reef. You can see so much by snorkelling directly from your bungalow steps. 3. The staff were wonderful! (And great karaoke singers!) 4. There are only three bungalows so far and all the guests eat together for lunch and dinner. We got to know wonderful people from around the world. 5. We spent a week here and a week at a much more expensive resort and this one came out tops for value by far. 6. A village is nearby which was really interesting to visit. 7. Note that the location near mangroves is a positive. We experienced no significant insect issues here and the mangroves harboured amazing fish life.

Boasting sweeping views of the ocean and free WiFi access, Raja Ampat Dive Lodge is located in Mansuar Island in the heart of Northern Raja Ampat dive sites. Clean and comfortable accommodation with en-suite bathroom, AC and ceiling fan, and good quality mosquito nets. AMAZING snorkelling right off the jetty… the variety and abundance of coral and sea life along their house reef was just spectacular. Well maintained grounds. Great beach getaway atmosphere and good food. Friendly helpful staff, onsite dive shop and reasonable prices for equipment rental. Reliable speedboat transfer back to ferry terminal in Waisai.

The food was delicious and the family hosts are so kind and helpful. It is a simple homestay, bucket shower for example, but we really enjoyed the relaxing vibe there.
