We stayed in one of the "cabanas" rooms that are open to the sea and it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. The mosquito net worked fine and there was a fan, plus with the breeze and good quality mattress it was actually quite comfortable. The staff of the hotel and restaurant / bar are fantastic, special shout out to Juan! The food at the restaurant was some of the best we've had in Colombia, including a very generous breakfast. The pool area was great to relax too. The beach by the hotel is probably one of the cleanest and nicest in the region. Viewing the sunset both on the river where you can observe caymans, and on the oceans where you can watch surfers, was a great experience.

A (maybe not so hidden) gem. Want to spend some time remote on beautiful beach, guess thats your spot. Great place to snorkel or just relax. Good food. Lovely dog and cat. Many animals to see, underwater, at the beach or on the little trek into the jungle. Friendly, welcoming staff. Would go there again and recommend it to anyone who can spare a few days/nights.

The hostel far exceeded our expections with a wonderful greeting from our host, Carmen, who was always happy, smiling and helpful. Due to the price we paid, we expected a much cheaper feeling, but everything from the facilities to the personnel was excellent. While there's no food on the premises a small restaurant very nearby has one of the best menus of the day, we've had in Colombia! The breakfast on site was per plate instead of a buffet, which meant it was freshly made.

This is a beautiful house with outstanding Mountain Views. You can see the dedication of the owner on every detail. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.

Loved the breakfasts and Helmut’s cooking in the evening was excellent too. The location is just magnificent and the views from the Finca and from the poolside are unforgettable - banana trees, jungle and the beautiful coastline. It is a rustic place but with lots of beautiful touches and a great spot from which to totally unwind and escape - though we also used it as a base to explore nearby Tayrona National Park and Palomino, both short bus rides away from the bottom of the hill. Thank you guys for sharing your slice of paradise with us, we miss it already!

Beautiful location surrounded by nature and the food was really delicious! Would definitely recommend staying here

Offering a private beach area, Playa Pikua Ecolodge is a solar-powered property situated in Guachaca between two rivers and the Caribbean sea. Marta and the team were super friendly and accommodating. Made us feel very welcome. Super peaceful, right on the beach, and very relaxing to sleep to the sound of ocean waves. It was quiet, peaceful and a great way to disconnect — and only a 2-3min walk to Masaya and Costeno if you want a bit more action. Will come back for sure.

Posadas Ecoturisticas Seineken is located in the countryside outside of Santa Marta. The property is surrounded by tropical gardens. The owners were amazingly nice and accompanying. The location is amazing just 15 min from tayrona park entrance
