Kandalama Lodge truly is a hidden gem in Dambulla. It's hard to put into words how breathtaking and serene our stay was. We opted for the Villa with a Private Pool, and it was absolutely idyllic. The architecture is exceptional, paying meticulous attention to detail, creating a soothing atmosphere. The staff is exceptionally friendly, dedicated to ensuring our stay was exceptional. A special thanks to Nalin, the General Manager, who looked after everything flawlessly during our stay. He was not only friendly but also easily accessible at any time when needed. The culinary experience was a delightful highlight of our stay, offering both delicious and nutritious options. Credits to the Chef! I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway, and there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy as well in Dambulla. Thank you, Kandalama Lodge, for an unforgettable experience!

I had an amazing stay! The place has such a peaceful vibe, surrounded by nature. The villa was clean and comfortable, and my favourite feature was the inner courtyard, which made me feel so connected to nature. The tree hut was the perfect nook for reading, and the staff even arranged one of our dinners there. We were also able to experience a well bath - such a one of a kind experience! The staff were incredibly attentive, always making sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and full of local flavours. Loved the soothing sound of birds in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dambulla who’s looking for a relaxing and authentic Sri Lankan experience.

We stayed 2 nights at the Sigiri art home. It is a lovely place hidden in the jungle. From the comfortable furniture at the patio, you can enjoy the sights of the beautiful garden. When we arrived we were welcomed very kindly. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The AC functioned perfectly. In the morning we got a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. The host and his wife are kindhearted and want to make sure your stay is up to your wishes. When we ran out of gas with our rented tuk tuk, the host even brought us to a gas station to get a bottle of fuel. He was truly a lifesaver.

This was by far the most beatiful host we ever had! This Family made our stay unforgetable, the nature is very beatiful and the breakfast was so so so delicious! The Treehouse was very comfortable!!!

The property was very basic but was exceptional for the price. The owner of the lodge and his wife were incredible and her cooking was amazing. We were able to do everything we wanted to do in just a one night stay because they arranged all of our travel. All of the tourist attractions are within easy reach from the lodge and they organised an incredible elephant safari for us at Kaudulla national park.

We cannot recommend this place enough. We spent 3 nights in Machcha Lodge and everything was perfect from the first minute. Kamal is the sweetest, kindest person and made sure to always check if we needed anything. He makes the most delicious welcome drink and a spectacular breakfast that we will be dreaming about for months.. The lodge is extremely clean and well equipped - has many sockets, a hair dryer, a large mirror, good AC and a great shower. The bed was out of this world and we slept like babies. The garden is absolutely idyllic - in the first 15 minutes of arriving we saw monkeys, peacocks, iguana, and a toucan. On top of everything, the place is 1 minute away from Roy's villa hostel which is ideal as you can join them with all the great activities that they plan. This was only the start of our trip in Sri Lanka but I cannot see how any place could compete with this one.:)
