We stayed 4 nights and everything about the stay was an absolute dream, only made possible by the team at Ivory Wilderness. Each excursion felt unique and Shane and Warren are clearly so passionate and knowledgeable, making every sighting big or small an incredible experience. The location on the river is beautiful and very peaceful and meals were varied and delicious.

Situated within the Greater Kruger National Park, Lions Place is located in Grietjie Private Nature Reserve.

The whole experience was magical, and one we will remember for the rest of our lives. We were blown away by the efforts made by Danielle in hosting us, from the amazing home cooked food in such a beautiful setting to making sure we had clean rooms, new towels, and made beds to return to every morning. As for the safari, it is difficult to find the words to describe how amazing this was. We really appreciated JP sharing his experiences and knowledge of the animals and his patience in answering our many questions. There is nothing like seeing an elephant with its baby walk right past you or a lion so full after a kill that it can barely move. In the end, we saw zebras, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, impala, rare wild dogs, and many other animals and birds. We already miss our coffee by the river as the sun comes up...it was perfect in every way.

Location excellent, self-catering which was what we wanted, friendly hosts and spotless clea.

Very good breakfast and our host was exceptionally careful to our comfort and attentive to our needs. For example he took on himself to phone for a boat cruise on Blyde River Dam.

Isabella and Jan have a jewel close to Kruger. Wonderful insights for our tour and a very nice spontaneous evening dinner. You can feel they love what they do.
