The breakfast was excellent in every possible way; the staff that served it was even more professional, kind, and welcoming (100% worth it). This hotel was extremely clean (probably the cleanest hotel I have been in), close to major attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Grand Bazar, and Sultanahmet tramway station, etc.), and very very comfortable. I would genuinely recommend it to anybody who wishes to have a good time in Istanbul.

Outstanding staff during checkin. Extremely service minded. Even though we had to wait before it was our turned, we felt seen and taken care of, being given a bottle of water each right away. Throughout the stay we were offered unlimited amounts of water, which is really nice service.

Blue Mosque

Constructed between 1609 and 1616, the striking Sultan Ahmed Mosque – or ‘Blue Mosque’ – is still a place of worship today. With no war victories to fund it, this opulent structure had to be paid for straight from the treasury – angering the Ottoman legal scholars of the time! Non-Muslim visitors are encouraged to visit, but should be respectful of the strict dress code.

A famous but fully respectable by its visitors sightseeing. Although the entrance is free, serenity and harmony prevail. Cannot tell the same about the neighbouring Agia Sophia, whose redeployment to a mosque does not serve the new scope and downgrades the original monument.

Ensure that you have clothing that covers your knees, apllicable to both men and women. Women additionally need to ensure that they have a headscarf to cover head and shoulders. They now charge for the coverings if you don't have

As a Christian, first time in a mosque, I was impressed. The colors and architecture are impressive. I was lucky enough to have the accommodation 5min away so I could enjoy the beauty before going in, one night before. I recognize I was disguised by the non-Muslims that are not able to respect other people beliefs and gets in the prayer area just for pictures. Pity them. You should never put your pictures before the place you are, no matter what.

I really liked the hotel! Perfect location: right at the final bus stop from the airport, so we didn't have to drag our suitcases around the city. Across the road, there's a 24/7 convenience store, which is very handy. The hotel is in the center of Istanbul, so there are plenty of places to walk around. We reached the Blue Mosque on foot in about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. I would definitely recommend it!

I booked this hotel to stay 4 days in Istanbul, and it was suggested from my cousin who stayed there last year. I have to say that it was really good from breakfast to the location, very central. Only 5 min walking from the main sights such as Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern. The wi-fi was great and on arrival they offered us tea, and water. The staff has been very kind and helpful giving us direction on how to reach some places as Google maps is not that accurate with the tram stops.

We liked the friendly staff at Bender hotel. The host and staff were always very welcoming. They were very accommodating. My wife and I looked forward to the Turkish breakfast every morning. The location is in a prime spot. Cobbled stone roads, a stone away from coffee shops, Turkish restaurants and little gift shops. It’s in walking distance to all the top sites in Istanbul i.e Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Arista Bazaar, Topkapı museum etc. It’s also close to the bus terminus to the Istanbul airport.

I booked two rooms for our family trip to Istanbul. The Mamaras Suite was spacious, clean and provided a good balcony view of the Bosphurus. The hotel is near the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia which was good for us to attend early morning prayer. The hotel staff are very welcoming and accommodating, special mention to Alp who welcomed us when we first arrived.

Love this hotel, our 2 bedroom apartment looked over the blue mosque, clear and a good size. Awesome staff. Breakfast enjoyable/ breathtaking looking over the blue mosque and Bosphorus strait. Love the fact that everything was in walking distance or accessible by the tram.
