Excellent location for shopping and dining. We had a basic twin room and a king suite. Both rooms were nice and clean. The king suite was quite big and we appreciated having the kitchen to use for our breakfasts (they provided coffee with a coffee press/kettle, tea and milk). It had a full sized dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer as well. They do provide parking, but valet only at $45/night. There are parking garages next to the hotel which likely may have had a better price. They also have a filtered water machine in the lobby, which I appreciated for refilling my water bottle.

    The room was big enough and central for what we needed to do for our fleeting overnight trip to Auckland. However parking to check in was confusing and the lady at the desk was very confusing in her instructions on where the included parking was for the room - we had to then check with another person after we checked in who was very helpful.

    The view was wonderful.

    The view was wonderful. However the third party online seller -Trip advisor didn’t send the ticket as soon as we completed the payment. It took hours and an email before they sent it so we had to purchase them on the site. Don’t use the online seller as they don’t refund the money you paid even if it was their inefficiency that was the issue! Can’t believe they don’t refund when ticket wasn’t used! Leaves a bad taste to the tourists!!!

    I've been past there many times, but never went up to the observation decks until I was in NZ with a friend from overseas. The views are really great, and it is the best place by far to get your bearings in sprawling Auckland (which, by land area at least, is one of the largest in the world). You can also do a bungee jump from the exterior walkway, which is quite exciting simply to watch.

    Gorgeous view, check the weather during booking times and go before, during and after sunset if you can to maximise the experience. If dining up in Sky Tower, book about half an hour before sunset, enjoy the viewing platform for up to 45 mins before your booking (we only needed 20 to be satisfied) for free and then finish of with a meal during the sunset. In the lift, look down and watch the weight in the pulley system move away from you whilst ascending. Clear your nasal passages and look in to jaw movement (chewing gum for most) to release pressure with difference in metres above sea level and how that affects the sinuses.

    The place was beautiful, fabulous location - we particularly loved the view of the sky tower! Was so central to everywhere we needed to go during our stay, short drive to Spark Arena, short walk to the pub down the road to watch the rugby. A little more to Wynyard Quarter and the Viaduct, but still only 20mins - and some of the best restaurants around! Communication before arrival was prompt, we were concerned about parking but it was all sorted, also very easy to find and access.

    We booked a balcony room which was lovely and we could see the sky tower at night lit up. Walking distance to the viaduct and local restaurants. Enjoyed the spa and sauna facilities. Also utilised the washing machine and dryer which was very handy.

    It was such a lovely stay. My partner and I spent our anniversary here and were welcomed with a delicious sweet treat and card in honour of said anniversary!. The view was everything, 12th floor with an awesome view of the sky tower. Facilities were top notch, Our rooms price included breakfast held at “eight” and it was definitely worth the extra dollar, keep in mind they keep to a smart casual dress code. Staff were also extremely welcoming and friendly! Will 100% be coming back 😊
