What a lovely stay. The hotel is quiet, spacious and very clean and tidy. The lounge for the guests is more than great. What a view when you have a really good breakfast. Everyone working there is lovely, smiling, always a nice thing to say or a great recommendation for what to do around Methven. I would definitely come again.

My experience with the Brown Pub was really great. Nice, cozy room and good, clean showers. The kitchen is small but nice and has everything you need to prepare smaller meals. The staff is very friendly. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Fabulous location and views. Very light clean and spacious rooms. Perfect place to stay in winter to go skiing on Mt Hutt (30mins by car). Would recommend even for those, who want to visit Christchurch. As just a half day in the city is enough. No need to stay in the city. It is better to stay within nature. New Zealand is about nature, not urban life.
