Great campsite facilities, you get a really good sized pitch and space to spread out, it felt private. The ablution block was modern and clean. A five minute walk to the restaurant if you don’t fancy cooking your own dinner. Take a torch or a head torch so you can find your way back to the campsite.

Tarentaal Guest Farm is a beautiful and well maintained property. Our hosts, Piet and Marianna were very warm and welcoming. The rooms and common areas were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated, and we were very comfortable during our stay. Piet shared is abundant knowledge of the local area and was helpful in providing information and suggestions for the rest of our time in Namibia. The meals prepared by Marianna were delicious and plentiful and she was very accommodating to meet our needs.

Gate is OK and very professional, the waiting himba woemen do not like to be photographed, which is OK. Etosha Park itself was somehow disappointing. From my personal perspective based on having seen ca. 20 Nationalparks in East and South Africa, this is the one I do not recommend to visit. Maybe it was the wrong time to go and we did see some wildlife, lions, antilopes, birds and elephants from a far distance. the feeling of a National Park we never had. It was more the impression of a whitewashed sun burnt dust bowl with cars driving through. Go to Krueger instead, or Samburu, Serengeti, Massai Mara, Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth etc. More interesting, more to see.
