IndiaThe location is amazing. Its right at the beach. This hotel is run by family and the owner personally takes good care of the guests. The best part was even if the owner's wife was in hopsital, he came all the way just to ensure that we have a smooth checkin. Thanks a lot for the gesture Harshit.
The breakfast was amazing and was cooked by owner's family so you get to taste the home food.
I would definately come back to this place if i visit next.

United KingdomWe had an amazing stay at the Long House. The grounds, pool and hotel are beautiful. The rooms are large, clean and ours had a beautiful outside shower. We decided to go half board, and would thoroughly recommend. The choices were lovely, with a good mix of traditional and Western dishes. The staff are amazing, especially the restaurant staff. We couldn't recommend the Long House anymore!

Beautifully designed, and gifted with a gorgeous garden and pool, this is a lovely place to stay, very close to the beach, but close to Bentota town, and Lunuganga, if you're a Bawa fan. It's a quiet, intimate place, ideal for relaxation. My room was exceptional, in design and comfort, up a flight of steps, with views of the garden and pools, and with privacy too. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. I am very happy to recommend it.

Staying at Lunuganga was like stepping into a living work of art. The estate’s serene beauty, with its lush gardens and tranquil lake views, offered a peaceful retreat. I cannot write an objective review for the place since from me this was like a pilgrimage because I am just a huge fan of Geoffrey Bawa. Just being there was a dream come true!
The staff is exceptional, very thoughtful and well mannered.
The small touches like the happy hour where they serve home infused gin and tonic ( Bawa’s favourite) by the Lunuganga is an experience in itself.
The sense was of history , his whimsical sense of design , his attention to detail is a learning in itself..
What a legacy !

Nice clean and big room.
Nice view.
5 minutes walking to Lunuganga property of Geoffrey Bawa.
Nice rice and curry adapted to our wishes.
Watching birds and giant bats, big varan and other wildlife from the room or the balcony is amazing.
Quiet area in village atmosphere and not busy sea side resort feeling.
They arranged a very confortable cab with a nice driver for us.

A very spacious and comfy unit which has everything we needed. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful, organizing for us a river safari and a Tuk Tuk for our tour of Lunuganga and the Brief Garden. Harinda, the guide who offered the river safari, is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the mangrove, and its the flora and fauna. We thoroughly enjoyed the safari. The Tuk Tuk driver, Waruna, was extremely patient and helpful. Fans of Lunuganga and the Brief Garden would find River Breeze Villa a convenient base.

Lunuganga is a once in a lifetime experience and a true sanctury. The property's architecture and gardens surprise & delight at every turn. The rooms are private and grand in scale with light artistic touches. The staff are warm and attentive but also allow you space to wander and explore the gardens hidden treasures. I felt trully taken care of yet also perfectly independent - a real feat. This is what true luxury feels like.
