Everything was lovely, including spacious (for Kyoto) room, amenities, free quality tea (from Ippodo!) in room, the lounge with free snacks and drinks. The hotel itself is small, so you feel genuine attention to each guest. Insane value for money.

The room was as clean as it could be. I haven't seen any place like this before. All the 5-star hotels I've been to where not that clean. The staff was incredibly polite.

A really amazing hotel in the heart of Kyoto. The rooms have everything you need, the staff is lovely, there is also a lounge where you can relax throughout the day with drinks and snacks. We really appreciated the focus on sustainable goodies. It really was such a great experience and we wish we could stay longer.

Everything was exceptional! Facilities and rooms were new, featuring modern design and high quality materials. The bed was comfortable and cleaning service exceptional. The restaurant and bar area is cosy and perfect for a meal/drink after sightseeing! Staff did a great job, always attending to requests with kindness and professionalism! The hotel is located near Kyoto station (access to Shinkansen rapid service and Osaka airport via Haruka Express JR train). It is also located within a comfortable walking distance to Kyoto downtown area and Gion.

We had a great stay at Keio Prelia! The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Our room was great - cleaned daily, pyjamas and flip flops provided, and the shower in the ensuite bathroom was fantastic. The hotel location is excellent, approximately a 15 minute walk from Kyoto station, which provides easy access to sights around the city and further afield (Nara, Mt. Yoshino etc.) by train, metro and bus.

    Lovely hotel. The staff were pleasant and efficient and the location of the hotel is good. 10 minute walk to Shijo station and on the main bus routes to get around the city. Our room was great - spacious, clean and comfortable with toilet separate from the shower and basin. The beds are on a low platform but the mattresses are standard ones so pretty comfortable. TV, kettle, tea (green) and coffee provided. Also leisurewear/robe and slippers. We had a really comfortable stay here and would definitely recommend it.
