It was exceptional in every way. Minimalist but comfortable and practical room. Comfortable bed, wonderful shower, incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, great location away from the hectic centre. Couldn't hope for any more from a hotel. It even had a laundry and Suica card dispenser on site! Right opposite a metro station.

The room I reserved was very spacious and came with a well equipped kitchen and 2 different areas to sit/eat which was great for a longer stay. It is rare to find that much space in Tokyo at an affordable price. Everything was perfect and I really enjoyed discovering the little local restaurants and cafe nearby.

Asakusa is very commercialized, so be very careful about the food stalls and how much you spend. Many items can be found cheaper at a Donki. I still recommend going to experience the spirituality of Senso-ji.

I liked this temple and surrounding garden and shrines a lot. We came back twice, as we wanted to experience the atmosphere during the evening as well. Just like everything in Japan, it can be extremely crowded during the day, I am talking about masses and masses of tourists but if you get up super early, you can beat the crowds.

Absolutely overrun by tourists during the day, even off-season. If you're really interested in this place, please make sure to learn about local customs, keep in mind that this is a place of worship, and then come here in the early morning to see what it can be like. Don't be a dick. Respect that people actually come here for praying, and try not to shove your phone into their faces as they do.

Give yourself time to explore the market and shops nearby. Take an opportunity to stay in the Temple complex and soak up the culture, so many visitors are in there traditional Kimonos and formal wear as this is a 'working' temple, so beautiful.

Asakusa, where the Sensoji Temple is located, is one of our favourite areas to explore. Kappabashi Street, is a colourful street of beautiful kitchen knives, bowls, tea & sake cups, kitchen goods, and more. Beyond the main roads, its feels very livable and comfortable, with small local shops to discover.

The oldest temple in Japan I read (or maybe the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan). A beautiful temple complex and one of the prime sights of Tokyo. I was lucky enough to be staying a couple of minutes walk away, so walked through it or past it every day of my stay.

This was a great start to our Tokyo trip! On the ground floor, there is a convenience shop underneath where we were staying. You will live within walking distance to Sensoji Temple, and the Skytree is 2-3 subway stations away. This is a great budget option for Tokyo, especially because of its location.

Incredibly spacious!! We were a group of 3 and had plenty of room! The host was easy to contact and gave clear instructions for access and was always kind and welcoming in their messages ☺️ the beds were super comfortable, warm and soft, and everything was so clean! It's in a side street and about 10 minute walk away from the nearest subway station and a 20 minute walk to Sensoji Temple so it's well located too. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend! ☺️

Great spacious rooms for families especially the small kitchenette. The location is excellent, very close to JR & subway lines and Sensoji Temple and shopping streets. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff (incl English speaking). The luggage delivery service was very helpful. We loved the rent a friend program and games to borrow for kids - our daughter had such a great time ❤️

Well appointed and close to restaurants, transport, Sensoji Temple and the Solamachi shopping centre. The lift made moving our luggage easy. The building is on a very quiet street and sound proofed for a peaceful night. Beds are very comfortable. Our host made immediate contact after booking and sent a list of useful information regarding the area. If you are looking for a place to stay in Tokyo, stop scrolling and book the Cat House now.

Very convenient, close to the train station and sensoji temple. Small room, very compact typical of Tokyo budget hotels, there is space to leave luggage under the bed. Did the job - comfy beds, hot water available. Receptionist were very lovely and kept our bags for the day. Would recommend and good for the price

Lovely clean property with brand new facilities. Lots of space for a Japanese hotel room. Fully equipped kitchen with lots of fridge space. Staff were very friendly but the property was also nice and quiet and private. Location was AMAZING. Far away enough from the busy streets but only a few minutes walk away each day to the train station, shopping, food and Sensoji Temple. Would absolutely stay again.
