Trevi Fountain

Much to the annoyance of his fellow gods who chose to simply materialise, Oceanus preferred to travel by cumbersome shell-shaped chariot. Constructed in 1762 at the height of the baroque, the Trevi Fountain is one of the world’s most elaborate – and romantic – fountains. The God Oceanus is the fountain’s centrepiece. Swimmers take heed: beware of the vigilant fountain police!

I would suggest to wake up early and arrive to the fountain around 7 am in the morning. You will still find a big crowd of people, but it would be far more pleasant and comfortable than going there later in the afternoon.

We loved it. We got there just before they closed down the site to visitors but it was very crowded. If you want another view of it, try the store across the street which has large windows to take photos of Trevi Fountain.

    Absolutely overcrowded.

Absolutely overcrowded. We were there on a Friday late afternoon. Took the subway there and walked the rest of the way. We did not want to use the subway in the dark so we decided beforehand to get a taxi or uber back, however, they were charging astronomical prices as they knew we were desperate. We ended up going back by subway.

The fountain is incredible but the crowds ruin the experience. Go very early or later when the crush has died down. Could barely edge our way around the perimeter. The little square up the street to the right of the fountain was fun.

    There's fountains and there's fountains.

There's fountains and there's fountains. Then there's the Trevi Fountain, probably the most beautiful and famous in the world. The sculptures associated with the fountain are simply wonderful. And then there's the famous "bath" taken in the fountain by Anita Ekberg in the movie "La Dolce Vita" . . . A place of pilgrimage for lovers from everywhere.

Location, the hotel is super close to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon, and is located on the main street, so easy to walk to those 2 famous places of interest. And the room is cold enough when we get there, assuming the air con was already on, which is good since it was hot

Amazing little apartment. Was so close to everything, 15 minute walk to most of the must see places eg: Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps etc.. would definitely stay here again. Had one small issue with power outage and staff immediately responded and issue was fixed straight away. Highly recommend.

Really nice apartment - recently refurbished. The location is ideal as well, being close to the Trevi fountain. The balcony that opens out to the street is an amazing touch. The bathrooms are very spacious and really clean. The hosts left helpful directions for visitors complete with restaurant recommendations. Would love to visit again.

The location is superb. About 10 seconds from the front door to the Trevi fountain. There are 2 levels to the rooftop bar and the upper level has a view of the Trevi fountain. Not many guests seem to go up there as it’s not immediately obvious. The hotel staff are all helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good and the rooms are comfortable with quality bathroom products.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay was absolutely wonderful! The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the very first moment. The hotel itself was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with a building that truly impressed me. The location is unbeatable — just steps away from the iconic Trevi Fountain — which made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommendable for anyone visiting Rome!

She was warm and welcoming on our arrival and friendly throughout! The breakfast bags and complimentary prosecco was a nice added touch! Would deffo stay here again if coming back to Rome, the location was close to trevi fountain also!

Rome has lots of lovely romantic spots such as the Trevi Fountain which is stunning for a romantic stroll at night time. There are lots of romantic restaurants dotted around too and if you really want to take romantic to a new level then I recommend visiting the Mirabelle restaurant - a rooftop restaurant with a terrace overlooking Rome. It is very pricey but it is stunning.
