GreeceThe location is pretty good, about 15 minutes from the old city center. The room was very nice, comfortable, and clean, with excellent heating (it was single-digit Celcius the days we were there), and a big & nice bathroom. The staff has been super polite and helpful. Breakfast was great as well! We had an excellent stay and will definitely consider going back next time we're in Padova!

Book the double time in the evening if you can (Giotto under the Stars); this will give you 40 minutes in the chapel instead of the usual 20 minutes. Even 40 minutes was a bit too short! It was wonderful!
It was wonderful! I had studied Art History in college and always wanted to see it. It did not disappoint! Painted in 1306 by the Master Giotto and his students. Giotto was the first to give paintings feeling. Yes, they are stiff, but have human emotions. See the angels at Christs death- they are torn up that Jesus is dead. One angel is marking her face with her fingernails! The parting of the lovers, I can feel how much they love each other and how much they will miss eachother. The chapel is set in a QUIET park with modern artwork in the reception building and modern sculpture in the gardens. In the back of the property is a cafe decorated with Italian Maidens- such a serene setting. It’s twenty five minutes walk to the Piazza delle Erbe in the centre, about the same to the Scrovegni Chapel and slightly less to the station with all the tram building works in the way.
