I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Romano from April 17 to April 20, 2024. A special thanks to Santo, who checked me in and gave me a warm welcome. He went above and beyond by showing me what I could visit in Rome, which greatly enhanced my experience. His hospitality and insights were much appreciated. Thank you, Santo, for making my visit to Rome so memorable!

We had a truly wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly kind, sincere, and always ready to help. The interior design is beautiful and creates a very cozy atmosphere. The location is absolutely perfect — everything we needed was close by. We were especially impressed by the attention given to our child — it made our stay even more special. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The location is not too busy but still close to the city centre and a 5-10 minute walk to the metro station. The room had all expected amenities and even more. There was an iron and board available in the room and a proper hair dryer. The staff were friendly and the Hotel itself is really beautiful.

Roman Forum

More palace than museum, El Prado is a true cultural treasure trove. Its hallowed halls hold one of the world’s finest collections of European art, from the fantastical figures of Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights to the dark, twisted beauty of Goya’s legendary Black Paintings. It needn’t cost the Earth either – in the evenings entrance is usually free.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it. Make sure you have water with you, as there is very little shade, and in summer it gets very hot. The day we went, it was 40 degrees celsius. From here you can easily walk to the Coliseum, but make sure that you have prebooked tickets to both

Gone are the days of strolling through the Forum and sitting as the ancients did among the temples and spirits, remains of daily pre-modern life. But if you can take the time to get into the Forum in a quiet, personal way, it is an experience worth having. As a tourism tour, not so much. Try to enjoy ancient Rome quietly and peacefully, on your own with time and space to receive from it.

• The location of the apartment is truly exceptional, probably one of the best you can find in Rome. • Three of the bedrooms have a direct view of the Colosseum and the fourth overlooks the Roman Forum, offering an impressive experience at any moment of the day. • The apartment is very spacious: a large living room, a dining area for up to 8 people, and an overall layout that easily satisfies even demanding guests. • Paco was friendly, positive and provided very helpful suggestions about the area, something we really appreciated.

Highs: incredible property in the absolute best location. 10 Minutes walk from the Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain etc. The hotel itself is stunning but the rooftop is something else. Recommend going up for a drink (not food - was overpriced and not great and I’ve eaten at a LOT of Michelin star / amazing restaurants). View of the rooftops in the city for sunset was special. I loved the sustainability focus but beyond the sustainability tour are the Roman baths. I’d go back again just for the baths alone. Incredible.

The apartment is beautifully decorated, was spotless, and very comfortable. Darya was brilliant at providing information and recommendations, as well as checking in throughout our stay. We were able to drop our bags slightly earlier than check in so we could explore whilst the apartment was finishing being cleaned. The location was perfect for exploring the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, and ideally situated around bars and restaurants.

Buy the ticket for Colloseum at the enterence to Forum Romanum and Palatin, you will avoid giant line (3 attractions cost altogether 12 euro)! FAst track ticket for the VAtican Museum is also good idea (we did it), you can buy at the enterence to the St. Peter's Basilic. It is quite expensive, but it helps you to avoid huge line and to see both attractions during one day.
