Very good and quiet location, it took us 10-15 minutes to get by tuk-tuk Amman temple, clean rooms with air-conditioning, comfortable beds, good choice of food for breakfast, hosts were very attentive and helped us to get us a taxi to Munnar

Decent sized room that had more than I needed. Bathroom was large as well. Cupboard, table, chairs etc all provided and bed very comfortable. My favorite part was excellent restaurant on site that gave a great breakfast and room service within 15 mins of being called up. The food was great and reasonably priced. Staff also very helpful.

The hotel is quiet and the small garden at the rear is an oasis. Very helpful staff, especially M Rajesh and Kamatchi in the restaurant, and Saranya Devi in Housekeeping. The restaurant has a wide choice of dishes, and the buffet is very good value if you would like to try a range of dishes. The location is fine - there's also a shopping mall and a good supermarket nearby, plus ATMs. I spent 14 nights there (my third long visit), and shall rebook when making my next visit to Madurai.

The sole purpose of visiting Madurai is this Temple.

The sole purpose of visiting Madurai is this Temple. Over the years, has become heavily crowded, barricaded and long queues, but MUST visit for all your travails will be forgotten as you "see" Meenakshi Amman, Sundereshwarar (Shiva), the Big Pillaiyar (Ganapathy) and the 1000 Pillar Hall. Please sit by the Golden Lotus Pond under open sky, especially during sun down. Please plan you visit early morning (5 - 5.30 AM at the temple premises) for great darshan and avoiding long queues. It is in the centre of the City and Markets / Local bazaar for Saris, Bangles, Vessels, Local food is plenty around. Don't miss the bargain shopping if you have time - it is an experience and fun.

If you visit this temple with pure devotion and faith one...

If you visit this temple with pure devotion and faith one can experience peacefulness. It is one of the oldest Hindu temple. Lot of memorable history attached to its existence. Great opportunity for us visiting this temple at Madurai.

Make sure you are dressed modestly as there is a dress code.

Make sure you are dressed modestly as there is a dress code. Men can not wear shorts and women should have a shawl to cover their shoulders and head. Your shoes must be left outside the gates. You can check them in at the shoe locker and walk across the uncomfortable cobble stone street to the entry gate, else just wear cheap shoes or sandals that day and leave them outside the entry gate - they should probably be OK - thats what most of the locals do.

My four bedded room was very comfortable, clean. I recommend this hotel for its proximity to the Meenakshi temple. It's jst 4 minutes walk.

I spend 2 nights and experience was nice, near to station and restaurants. Meenakshi temple is also near to this hotel. They also arrange tour for other temples and sight seeing.

The interior is prim, neat and quiet. Very nice for couples and family. Room & bath room are very clean and really liked the aesthetics. Very simple and stylish. Though not very near to Meenakshi temple, but if you have car it's easy to go from here to the temple parking area without much hassles. Thanks to the hotel management and friendly staff.

We booked the apartment because of its central location. We could walk to the Meenakshi Temple. It was a short rickshaw drive to the Palace, the Arulmigu Koodal Azhagar Temple and the flower market. We also liked the food places and street food options in the neighborhood. The apartment is spacious, very good AC in the sleeping room, comfortable bed. The apartment is in the 3rd floor and an elevator is available. We got tasty breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff :)

Meenakshi temple is one of historical temple that is still being managed and maintained very well though the improvement is really required in terms of staff inside temple mince money from outside Madurai visitors. This is common across all temples within India and with the help of government intervention, this can be reduced.
