At first I hadn't realized that the hotel is not at Skye but on another island, which requires a ferry . It made me so nervous that I almost booked another hotel. Thank god, nothing else was available. Raasay and the Distillery is one of the best places we ever stayed in! The hotel is beautiful! Charming and warm. The view from our room was breathtaking, the room was modern and beautifully furnished. Staying on an isolated island is an amazing experience. We met a few members of the team and they were all super friendly, welcoming and had a lot of patience for our endless questions about the isle, the habitants, the roads, the sights, etc. I wish we had time to stay longer. Breakfast was very good, tasty and assorted. The restaurant has a huge glass window facing the sea. The scenery is so beautiful that we couldn't care less about the food :-)

We used it as a base for some of the main walks that we wanted to do on the island. The weather was very cold and wet, so it was nice to get back to a warm, dry room. Definitely worth trying the restaurant as the food was lovely!

Didn't do the tour but queued in the rain for 20 minutes for...

Didn't do the tour but queued in the rain for 20 minutes for the shop which was very poor compared to others like Glenfiddich etc. No samples (presumably using the Covid excuse) and no exhibition or information that you find in other distilleries. The prices are extortionate as they are in all distilleries but I might have been tempted by a distillery reserve if I could have tried it first.

Amazing value for money, and an ideal location for visiting Skye. It's also a short walk from the Talisker distillery, so one can walk home after taking tje evening whisky tasting.

The cottage is beautifully located on Loch Harport and the Fairy Pools are just a few minutes away by car. Also the Talisker distillery is just a walk away. The view is stunning! The house is newly re-furbished and is very cozy and warm. You can even watch the sky while lying in bes. We simply loved the house.

The location was excellent - a short drive to so many parts of Skye. The coffee shop was a few doors away and of course the Talisker distillery being across the road was excellent. The Three Chimneys at Talisker is worth a visit too! The property was easy to find and once inside, it contained all you needed for a comfortable stay. The house was lit in warmer tones, providing a cosy ambience

Ceum Thairis offers more than expected. Quiet and clean accommodation, interesting island history presentation, wonderful view to the bay, walking distance to Talisker distillery... Owner James is very pleasant, ready to explain about island history or help with anything you need. Really good value.

Probably one of the best places I've stayed in Scotland. The price was fair, the owner was great and knew a lot about Scottish history. He also gave me plenty of advice of what to see around the island. The place was comfortable and well equipped. Also very close to the Talisker distillery.

Amazing location sat over Loch Harport. First class views of the Cullin. 10 mins drive from Fairy Pools and other famous landmarks including the historical Talisker distillery… oh and if you like fresh shellfish the famous Oyster Shed is just 10 mins walk away.

This is authentic Highland hospitality with stunning views. It won't be for everyone but we loved it. It has a bunkhouse atmosphere where travellers connect in a shared lounge. You will learn about the history and legends of the Highlands, and if you are lucky, hear the Gaelic songs. It is close to great walks, the Talisker distillery, a great coffee shop and the best pub/restaurant. Sheep wander freely past the front window.

I still can't appreciates accommodations unattended by the owner, but nothing to regret about our stay: room was (very) small but clean, so as the outside bathroom. There's also a common living room, and we parked outside without problems. The house is located in a very quiet area, not far from the Talisker distillery. fair price for the crazy level of Skye
