The opera here is world class and encourages young up and...

The opera here is world class and encourages young up and coming singers. The orchestras (London Philharmonic and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment) are also world class and come down to Glyndebourne from London for the summer season. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the delightful gardens during the long dinner interval. The gardens are open for 2 hours before the performance. You could also pre order a picnic, complete with table and chairs from the on-site caterers or have dinner in one of the on-site restaurants. Dress up and make an occasion of it!

This is a very convenient stopover for a visit to Glyndebourne Opera House. This petite studio was warm and well designed, and perfectly clean. Rob came to ask if I needed anything which was kind and thoughtful. He provided me with an extra blanket as it was a very wet, windy, cold day. That was most welcome. The kitchen is well equipped, and there is plenty of hot water.
