We had a very pleasant stay from the beginning to end. Room was spacious and comfortable. They were flexible and attended to our needs. Asref was a lifesaver, not only he arranged us a tour and made some valuable suggestions to us, but also when our reserved taxi from an app didn’t come he arranged airports transfer to us at 2.30 in the morning and he managed to do this in just 15 minutes. I’m really grateful otherwise we would have missed our flight. Also the views from the terrace and restaurant is really nice and we were really satisfied with the quality of the food compared to other similar hotels in the country.

I visited 30 years ago, then the locals just dropped rubbish everywhere, this seems to have stopped. Leave plenty of time if you want to walk the Avenue of the Sphinx, some information boards helped you undertand what you were looking at, restoration work is ongoing, walk around the sides first and enter from the back, in a courtyard, you can see where the Romans plastered over the wall art and put there own.

Interesting but quite difficult to understand because of a lack of knowledge of Egyptyan history. Even if you have a guide it is difficult to remember what it is you have seen. There is very little effort in trying to make it an educational experience which you can remember.

Luxor temple is a must visit.

Luxor temple is a must visit. It's the biggest one and is absolutely fascinating. Even though we started quite early in the morning, there were already groups, however we still managed to get some nice photos without the crowds. I'd recommend to visit with a tour guide to understand what are you looking at.

The Egyptian people are charming and kind but be warned they will take advantage of you regarding your money and tend to be aggressive in Luxor. As a solo traveler do not go to Luxor Temple alone at night. In order to walk the avenue you must pay an entrance fee to Luxor and Karnak. I wanted to walk from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple by the Avenue of the Sphinx but there was an event happening at Luxor Temple and hours where shortened.

We spent some amezing 3 days at the Pavillon Winter Luxor. The room was very confortable, with plenty of amenities and a view on a very nice garden. Staff were very gentle and professional. The hotel helped us very diligently to organize some visits with a french spoken guide and to rent a car with a driver to go to Aswan once we left the hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect on the Nile shore, very near to the Luxor temple.

The hotel overlooked the Nile which was amazing. The hotel was centrally based which was good. Rooms were a great size and clean. We ate at the restaurant twice which was good and there was a good selection of food at breakfast. We walked to Luxor Temple from the hotel in about 15-20 mins and then onto Karnak Temple - doable but hot! Karnak is a must see though!

The staff was exceptional and went through lengths for our needs. Our transfer to Hurghada got cancelled and we were able to last minute book a transfer through the operator the hotel works with. We had to change rooms because they needed ours and got reimbursed with dinner and drinks. We felt at home and the view over Luxor Temple and the Nile was nice from the rooftop restaurant.

Gorgeous hotel with lovely, attentive staff and a fantastic breakfast. Spotlessly clean and well-maintained. It’s right on the Nile with three pools, including a pool bar, and an infinity pool which is perfect for sunset views. Just a 10–20 minute drive from major sights (Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple). The hotel also has convenient amenities (ATM and gift shop). Would definitely return!

I had a perfect stay at Mahmoud apartment. The place has one of the nicest terraces I've seen in Egypt, with a beautiful view over the Nile and Luxor Temple as well as the mountains. The apartment is completely isolated and private and at the same time you are at a five minutes walking distance from the ferry departure. It had an excellent working shower, hot water, a bath, a small kitchen and air conditioning working perfectly well.

Fabulous hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleaning done everyday. Hanny in the restaurant even printed off some helpful Egyptian words for us and helped with the pronunciation. Fantastic location overlooking the avenue of the sphinxes and Luxor temple and a 10 minute walk to the local ferry to get to the west bank. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
