Everyone we met at the hotel were very kind and helpful. They arranged our transpotations between the airport and the hotel. The breakfast was very good! It was 20 minutes walk to Abu Simbel. We were able to get the tickets of sound and light show at the hotel. We got the recomendation of the restaurant for dinner. The next day we went to see the sunrise. We were so happy staying at this hotel!

Sama Stars Hotel seems to be a reasonably new hotel and the owner/manager, Weal, put a lot of energy into making my stay enjoyable from start to finish. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is excellent value for money. The breakfast was more than I could eat and the dinners (extra cost) were very good also. The rooms are clean and tidy but most important for me, the beds was very comfortable (not hard) and the pillows and bed linen are good quality. The shower provides plenty of hot water for my longer than average showers. People who know how noisy Cairo is, will be surprised by how quiet it is around Sama Stars. The 3 night stay gave me time to visit the Abu Simbel Temples, both during the day and in the evening for the Sound an Light Show. At my request, the hotel arranged a 4x4 trip to to see the 3 Amada site temples and the 3 Wadi Sabua temples. Sometimes you have a special moment on holiday that you cherish forever. For me, the Amada-Wadi Sabua trip is one of those. I am very grateful to Weal for organising it.

    Fantastic.

    Fantastic. Go early 6 am if you can as there were about 12 of us there. At 830 am the buses of tourists arrived and then there were hundreds. We also went the the previous day at 2 pm - 5 pm and only a handful of people there. Peaceful. Don’t forget the visitor centre video

    Incredible friendly and personal service. It was really exceptional and it´s rare to find. VERY good breakfast and so tasty food in the restaurant. Try the fresh juices! Thanks to Ali (and all the other stuff members) it was an incredible stay in Abu Simbel. And, just to tell it to former visitors, we are the ONLY visitor in the Abu Simbel temples! Highestly recommended (and I do not exegerate)!

    The owner was very nice and invited us for tea multiple times. He gave us lots for fruit. And although we did not book actual breakfast because it was to expensive for us he gave as tea and cake in the morning and walked with us to Abu Simbel temples. The bathroom was clean and the beds were comfy

    15 min walk from the Abu Simbel temples, spacious room and renovated bathroom, very friendly and helpful staff. They also offer tours but unfortunately we didn’t have time to join. Booking says cash or card payments, but do have some cash ready in case the machine doesn’t work. Would return!

    The location is great overlooking the lake. It is a 15 minute walk to the Abu Simbel Temples. It is very quiet at night. The host is very friendly, speaks good English & helpful. He even drove me back to the bus stop on my departure! The bed was comfortable. The air con & wifi work. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good.

    The hotel owner was really kind and honest. He told me the story of Rameses and Abu Simbel and it was very interesting. He was easy to contact through WhatsApp app. It is a 20-minute walk to Abu Simbel. It is 10 minutes away from the big(public) bus station to and from Aswan, and there are many delicious restaurants nearby. I recommend staying at this hotel for a light show in the night and visiting the Abu Simbel temples in the morning.

    We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location is convenient to visit the Abu Simbel temples. We also enjoyed a nice dinner outside on the terrace.

    The location is perfect, right in between the Abu Simbel temples and the village (where restaurants and corner stores are), each 8-10 min walk away. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Very tasty! The reception staff was nice and helped us hop on the free EgyptAir shuttle last minute. They checked us in early, which was HIGHLY appreciated! This is a great hotel with good value for money for a short stay. I would stay there again!
