Best Things: It has got huge spacious rooms, and if you request and they have an opening, they'll upgrade you to an even bigger one totally free! I snug my way into a King Suite, that was mighty huge, even by my standards. And the bathroom had a Jacuzzi. Couldn't get any better than this. The rooms have plenty of power outlets, and all the requisite toiletries and the works are there in their rightful place. The probability of you having to call the reception for anything missing is pretty slim. It's super quiet. If you are a business traveler or just someone who prefers his temporary abode to be devoid of civilization, Avenue hotel is your best bet. Yep, it's that quiet. And if you are unnerved by a hotel that has an uncanny resemblance to the Shining hotel, well then, this is not your place. But there are very few hotels in Baku where the decibel level of noise is tolerable within the rooms, and this is a rare find. The breakfast is good, and if you overslept and missed the breakfast timing, they'll send a huge platter to your door. Now how good is that? The best thing of all is their staff. Led by their charming Director Mr. Agil, there's something endearing about the whole team. The cute Firuza would greet you warmly at the reception, and then the enigmatic Mr. Agil would take over. He'll have the special local tea with you, and will try to help you genuinely in whatever way he can. And that's a rarity in Baku. People just don't have time for you.
