The front desk staff were extremely pleasant and responsive. The breakfast was variety of delicious healthy local food, served in a very pleasant setup. Service was amazing. The location was walking distance to the train station and all attractions.

This was truly an exceptional stay. We went to this hotel for a relaxing few days in spa and it was beyond our expectations. Starting from rooms and ending with the food - everything was great. You can even order to sleep on the herbal pillows - which gives you an extra relaxation. Spa is really great with many saunas and swimming pools, natural lake. Definitely will come back!

This is a VERY VERY old structure without the conveniences...

This is a VERY VERY old structure without the conveniences of elevators within the fortress. If you cannot navigate stairs ( there are a lot) then reconsider the experience-although the panorama is breathtaking.

Take the time to fully go through this fantastic place.

Take the time to fully go through this fantastic place. Several museums to wander through which are great and really interesting. The Fortress itself is magnificent. Lots of little things for the kids to do as well. The first souvenirs shop we went into had a great little museum as well as interactive games for kids. The views over Salzburg are magnificent when you reach the top and go outside We spent over 3 hours ambling through the fort. When you catch the funicular train down there is the most beautiful cemetary to wander through and a lovely little church where you can light a candle.
